Writing has always been an important part of my curatorial practice.
But I don’t think of writing only in terms of books, essays or articles. Writing can take many forms. It can begin with a question, become a conversation, shape an exhibition, accompany an artist’s work or develop into a film.
For me, writing is part of the process through which ideas are explored, connected and eventually given form.

CURATORIAL TEXT
Michelangelo
Pistoletto
Real Academia de España en Roma · 2023
Michelangelo Pistoletto’s art is an art of relation, participation and sharing, as well as a search for identity. An ever-evolving inquiry that, from the very beginning, has sought to overcome the separation between artwork and viewer, between art and life.

ESSAY
Modernità e
campo dell’arte
Per una sociologia critica dell’arte contemporanea
Raffaele Quattrone · 2010
Modernità e campo dell’arte examines the art system as a symbolic field of struggle, where relations of power emerge through both artistic production and the mechanisms of legitimation. Deeply influenced by Pierre Bourdieu’s critical theory, the book brings sociology, aesthetics and art criticism into dialogue.
